Colonial White
Where can I find an 18th century and/or colonial themed photo album?
I recently took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia, and I would love to find an 18th century themed photo album to put my 160 photos in. Anything that is vaguely "colonial" themed would help! Red and white plaid or gingham, an "old world" map, damask print, or anything related to colonial and/or 18th century times. I'm having a lot of trouble finding themed photo albums. Please help!
Hobby Lobby and Micheals have lots of stuff like that, otherwise you might check at Joanne Fabrics. But I think Hobby Lobby would be your best bet thats where i always go for stuff like that. Good Luck!

How were army wives in western forts similar to early white women who came to Colonial America?
I am an internatinal student and taking women's history.
I've read the textbook but still it doesn't make much sense to me.
Please let me know about this question.
They both lived in closely guarded and closely knit communities of Europeans in the midst of Native Americans and a very primitive environment--the eastern forests in Colonial America and the great western Plains in the late 1800's. To live that life, you had to be both adventurous and tough--inured to the probability that your husband may not come back from the hunt, that food sources might fail, that you might never see anyone but those inside the fort or, worst case, that you, your family, and all your friends might be massacred or dragged off as captives by the Native Americans. That would create a very tight social bond and a pretty unsentimental view of the world.
To get a sense of this, watch one or more of John Ford's great westerns: "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" is probably the most relevant. His "Cavalry Movies" (they also include "Fort Apache" and "Rio Grande") are about life in the U.S. Cavalry in the West after the American Civil War, and paint a pretty good picture of what it must have been like for cavalry wives. Also try John Ford's epic "The Searchers"--although not strictly speaking about Army life, it has a very grim picture of what life was like for homesteaders in the West. It's one of the really great American movies.
